About

I am a drama and language educator and practitioner. My work centers on drama-based learning in the additional language classroom in both theory and practice. As an creative medium that promotes collective meaning-making in a safe environment, drama-based or “performative” language teaching provides a platform for students to actively express their identity, as well as promote confidence and motivation in acquiring another language. I believe that the language classroom is an artistic, educational, political, and ultimately, transformational, space.
